I like the site until I got to the navigation and tried to access any of the links and all I got was grey below (where I assume the text should be for the topics).  The main intro flash was choppy for me too and I am on a 56k modem. Maybe you should do a preloader to get the swf file cached first.

I agree with the color scheme comment about the grey on grey text and I am not fond of the orange either.

Mac G3, OS 9.04 using Netscape 4.7.3

Then using IE 4.5 Mac the site worked fine.
